About Terry

After graduating from Lincoln High School in 2003, I immediately began working as an Advertising Consultant for WOMT / WQTC Radio in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Since then, Seehafer Broadcasting Corp. has expanded with several additional radio stations including including WEMP (August 2015) and WCUB / WLTU (December 2015.) Since these station acquisitions, I have been able to offer my clients a variety of innovative marketing campaign strategies. I also participated in transitioning WLTU from its familiar “Oldies” format to the much more popular “Hot Country”, helping to bring in even more listeners to this station.

With the expanding market of Seehafer Broadcasting, I opened a second office in Sheboygan and I’m operating out of Jake’s Cafe, a creative coworking environment. This dedicated space has allowed me to become more involved in the Sheboygan community, including the Sheboygan Chamber and Coastal Young Professional groups. I have currently taken the lead on Coastal’s Food For Thought and Coffee with Coastal series and Cocktails with Coastal.

From the beginning of my advertising career, I have been dedicated to providing my clients with unique and effective advertising campaigns, and this dedication quickly helped me to establish an account list of many satisfied customers. I have been actively involved with the Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association (WBA) for the entirety of my career, attending various annual conventions as well as lobbying in the state capitol each year; most notably, I am an original member of the WBA Young Professionals Committee, a group of young members within the WBA striving to make our mark in the broadcasting field as well as to unite the broadcasters of our generation with the veterans of our field. Recently, I have coordinated two Young Professional conferences through the WBA YP Committee, The Toolbox, which features a variety of speakers and topics relevant to today's young broadcaster.

As part of my continued efforts to learn and grow in my chosen profession, I completed a 3-year program through the WBA to become a graduate of the Walker Broadcast Management Institute. I also completed the Certified Radio Sales Management (CRSM) Training from the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) in October 2013 to become a Certified Radio Sales Manager, and following that certification, on January 1, 2014 I was promoted to the position of Sales Manager for Seehafer Broadcasting Corp. Alongside my career in selling and managing radio advertising, I produce and co-host a wide variety of on-air programs with various themes. I was recently honored for the second time as a recipient of the Future 15 award for young professionals in Manitowoc County and won the YP of the Year Award through the Manitowoc Chamber in 2018. In addition, I won the 2019 Coastal Committee Member of the Year Award through the Sheboygan Chamber. In April of 2020, I was awarded the very first Wisconsin Broadcasters Association YP of the Year Award.

On May 1, 2021, I was named Vice President of Seehafer Broadcsating.

Beyond my career in radio advertising sales, from 2005 through 2009 I partnered with Riley Haupt to create EdgeStar Media, LLC and Co-Produce/Co-Host “Lakeshore’s Rising Stars!”, a state-wide singing competition taking place weekly throughout the summers. Production of the ‘Rising Stars!’ franchise presented challenges and rewards on many levels, and was a fantastic experience for me personally as well as a boon to the community. The experience allowed me to work with some very talented performers and gifted people and I am thankful to those who helped make this dream a reality for me. For nearly a decade Riley and I had hoped to bring “Lakeshore’s Rising Stars!” to our community once more, and in the summer of 2016, we were able to realize that dream with a third successful season.

I have also partnered with Paul Tittl to form ROCK Ministry, purposed with bringing Christian recording artists and local musicians to produce benefit concerts for our local community. In June of 2009, we hosted our first event, benefiting The Crossing Pregnancy Resource Center, and I was instrumental in bringing “New Christian Artist of the Year” Tenth Avenue North to perform. In June of 2010, ROCK Ministry produced our second event featuring headlining Christian entertainer Matthew West as a benefit for Big Brothers / Big Sisters and The Salvation Army. In November 2010, ROCK Ministry’s third event was held at Hope Community Church in Manitowoc and featured the “You’re Not Alone Tour” including Finding Favour, Chris Sligh and Downhere in a benefit for HopeNet 360. ROCK Ministry’s fourth event took place in December of 2011 and featured “The Very Merry Christmas Tour”, including Christian recording artists Newsong, Kutless, Chris August, and Jamie Grace; proceeds for that project went to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. ROCK Ministry went on to produce “The Very Merry Christmas Tour” for a second time in December of 2012, this time including Christian recording artists Newsong, Building 429, Francesca Battistelli and Jonny Diaz. ROCK Ministry’s sixth event was held in 2013 at the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc, and featured Christian recording artist Peter Furler. ROCK Ministry’s most recent concert took place in 2013 at Faith Church in Manitowoc, and was the “All the People Said Amen Tour” featuring Matt Maher, Chris August and Bellarive.

More recently, I have partnered with Hope Church and Faith Church to produce Sidewalk Prophets "A Great Big Family Christmas Tour" at the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc.

In my free time, I am an avid golfer, and I enjoy playing tennis as well as participating recreationally in downhill skiing during the winter. I have also been involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization from the time that I was five years old; my Big Brother Joe and I were awarded the longest-matched pair upon my high school graduation and he and I remain close to this day.

Without my faith in God, I can honestly say that I would not be here today experiencing the many joys of life. For this reason, it’s my personal prayer that each person may come to know Christ and accept His wonderful gift of grace into their life. The credit for my personal and professional success goes to Him.
